Institutional Construction Project
Construction Management
Martini Northern completed an elaborate restoration and renovation of this historic four-story, Liberal Arts building. The work included restoration of the original 234-seat Richards Auditorium into a state-of-the-art teaching theatre and multi-media arts center.
- The Dean of Students’ suite of offices and the two-level lobby were also restored featuring terrazzo flooring, brass railings and ornamental trim. The remainder of the building was completely renovated and updated.
- The project team provided six months of preconstruction services with extensive MEP coordination. The construction schedule was undertaken as soon as the preconstruction effort commenced.
- The 14-month project was completed on time per the original schedule in order to accommodate students returning for the fall semester.
- As the project progressed, careful tracking of the budget indicated that the project would be delivered under budget. As a result, money was returned to the client early in the process enabling the client to add scope back into the program that had originally been omitted due to budget constraints.
