Martini Northern was the design/builder forrenovations to the former police department into acustomer service center in the Dover City Hall inDover, New Hampshire. This collaborative projectincluded the complete renovation of 9,000 square feetof the basement floor including demolition, new entrylobby, a new ramp/elevator lobby, offices, new IT/TelData upgrades and HVAC system, as well as waterand electrical utility upgrades. The new service centerincluded extensive millwork.
- To accommodate for handicap accessibility, Martini Northern framed an elevated and sloped platform for a new concrete slab that was poured inside the basement
- The new concrete slab also included a new handicap ramp to allow for both entry points of the Customer Service Center to be handicap accessible
- Martini Northern’s original contract was for architectural renovations the service center but the City of Dover later added the extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades to the project which led to an extended preconstruction period to ensure coordination of all construction activities within the fully-occupied City Hall
